Physiotherapy at Home

Physiotherapy for Recovery and Maintenance

We provide one-to-one physiotherapy for older adults in the comfort of their own homes across Worthing and the surrounding areas.

Many people come to us following surgery, illness, injury or a fall. Others are looking for ongoing physiotherapy to help them stay active, mobile and independent. We also support many people following a hospital stay.

Time spent in hospital can often lead to a loss of strength, confidence and mobility, and physiotherapy can play an important role in helping people regain their independence and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Whether your goal is to recover after a knee replacement, regain confidence after a fall, improve your mobility or maintain your strength and independence, our experienced team can help. Some people work with us for a short time during their recovery whilst others choose ongoing physiotherapy to help them continue doing the things that matter most to them. Every new enquiry starts with a conversation with Sophie so that we can understand what is important to you and how we can best help.

More Than Just Recovery

For some people, physiotherapy is about getting back on their feet after surgery, illness, injury or a hospital stay. For others, it is about maintaining their mobility, confidence and quality of life and continuing to do the things that matter most to them. Whilst many people only need physiotherapy for a short period during their recovery, others benefit from ongoing support to help them stay strong and confident and maintain their mobility.

Everyone’s priorities are different. For some, that may be getting back to gardening, walking the dog or keeping up with the grandchildren. For others, it may be managing the stairs more confidently, walking outdoors again or simply moving around the house more easily. For some people, physiotherapy is focused on recovery. For others, it plays an ongoing role in maintaining movement, comfort and quality of life.

As mobility changes, there is often still much to be gained from regular physiotherapy. It can help maintain comfort, preserve movement and flexibility, and ease everyday aches and pains. Even when someone is no longer walking or spending much of their time in bed, physiotherapy can still play an important role in maintaining comfort and quality of life. For many people, the regular one-to-one contact, encouragement and having something positive to look forward to each week can be just as valuable as the physical benefits.

Over time, we get to know the people we work with really well, and that relationship often becomes an important part of the support we provide. Families often tell us that having a trusted professional seeing their loved one regularly provides valuable reassurance, particularly when they live some distance away or are unable to visit as often as they would like.
